My family lost a great friend last week.  After going in for brain surgery then falling into a 3 week coma our friend and my sister's soulmate passed.  Last night was a celebration of his life, not a funeral.  There was no viewing, no coffin or urn in the front of the room.  But a poster of pictures put together by family and friends.  A video running in monitors and music he liked piped into the

Yesterday I got some terrible news, not that Obama was elected president but that a close friend of our family and the man that has helped raise my nephew was being pulled off of life support.  He came to my sister a month ago and said he was going in for brain surgery.  They spent the next 2 days with my nephew going apple picking and getting a pumpkin and going out to dinner and hay rides.

The boy broke his hand the other day. Got it slammed in a locker last week but seemed fine. It acted up this weekend and now he has a cast on it. Only for 3 weeks, which is good, but this week also starts his braces treatment. He goes in on Thursday to get the teeth ready, next week for lowers, then a week later for uppers.
