On The Road Again

Heading out to Scout Camp this weekend. It's our summer trip, my son made his Webelos badge last week (I am a Scout Leader), but we usually stay only till Saturday Night (the troop leaves before 10am Sunday). When you only get 4-5 hours of sleep a night (I wake up at 4am for work and go to bed between 10pm and 11pm) the weekends I HAVE TO sleep or I am off the whole week. With all my other commitments it is hard to catch up. I was so tired this week that I passed out on Thursday and slept for 3 hours almost missing a meeting, then I couldn't fall asleep until after Midnight!!!! So we camp and have a good time and leave right after the campfire. The buy enjoys himself, I actually get 8 hours of sleep and everybody wins!!!!!!

Test For Echo..........

Movie Post

I am going to try to use this blog as a movie log as well. Be sure to check out my book log. Last night we rented The Transporter. It stars that English guy from Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. As far as plot goes, don't try to find one. It starts off as a serious Cops and Robbers, By the book, likable villian as the main character but becomes more of a Segal film (whom I HATE). But the action was non-stop, high impact, well crafted and reminded both myself and my wife of a Jackie Chan movie (whom I LOVE). From the opening car chase to the final car chase and all the fights in between, this was a nice popcorn movie. So pop a bag, jump on the couch (or sofa, depending on your income bracket) and enjoy!!!!!!

At Last

Blogger Down!

For some reason I was unable to get into Blogger yesterday, yet could still view my page. Weird!

Just a few thoughts over the past week:

- My wife said to me yesterday, "I can't believe it's almost Presidential election time again." I said something like "Whaaaaa?", She than counted out the YEARS. "Several months of Supreme Court 'election' fall-out, September 11th, kicking Afghanastan's ass, the one year aniversary of September 11th, kicking Saddam's ass, election......". Where does the time go!!! And for the record, while I am a Labor Leader, Pro-Union, and a registered Independant, I LOVE BUSH!!!!!! I think he's doen a fnatastic job keeping the country afloat these past 3 terrible years. He may not be the smartest President we have had, and he may not please all the people all the time.....but he seems to be a man you could hang out with and have a beer or two while watching baseball. He shoots from the hip and says what's on his mind (I like that) and when it's time to kick some ass, he gets his hands dirty and does it!!!! Plus he looked so cool in the flight suit the other day. Could you even imagine Gore handling the past 3 years........that scares the hell out of me!!

Why is SpongeBob so addictive??!?!? I mena EVERYBODY loves SpongeBob, my parents watch him and most of the guys at work (girls too) watch him. I watch him even if my kid is out..........F U N N Y ! ! ! ! ! !

Success!!!

I am finally certified for coaching Little League. And today was our first game. We won 2-1 and my son drove in the winning run and got the game ball. He (and I) was very excited, he went 2-2 with 1 rbi. I love baseball.....

We have been having problems with some furniture we bought some time ago. Long story short, the week after we bought it we found several manufacturer's defects (wrong cushoins, torn fabric, unattached railing, nails sticking out of wood). A service guy came out and looked at it and said all the pieces (4) had to be taken in for repair. No problem, we liked the set and they responded nicely. However, days turned into weeks, weeks into months and months into SEVERAL months.....we called every few weeks and were told that the fabric was on back-order. Now the women at the place were very nice and I (much to my wife's surprise) kept my cool. It was not their fault so why waste anger, swear words and threats on them. I had finally reached my limit and 11 months, 28 days after we purchased the furniture I called the General Manager and stated a) the problem, b) the fact that I have been more than understanding with them, c) I have been nothing but nice to all the employees, when others would have swore and pitched a fit after 2 days, and d) I would rather sit on the floor for the next several weeks waiting for new furniture than have these pieces in my house any more......The Manager said he would talk to the ladies and give me a call in an hour. Fifteen (15) minutes later he called and said: a) all involved commented on how understanding and nice I had been to all of them, and b) if I would be home for the next 15 minutes he would send a truck to remove the furniture and get me a full refund.

I know sit on my Lazy-Boy (the only piece of furniture in our living room) and await our new set (something the wife and I picked out today) which should be here in the next few days. And no we did not go back to the other furniture story.........
