Keep on keeping on...

The boy broke his hand the other day. Got it slammed in a locker last week but seemed fine. It acted up this weekend and now he has a cast on it.

Only for 3 weeks, which is good, but this week also starts his braces treatment. He goes in on Thursday to get the teeth ready, next week for lowers, then a week later for uppers. Then the next week he gets the cast off.

Been really sick lately. Missed a little work. Now today I am having a hard time breathing, very heavy in the chest area, congested, coughing, stuffy nose. I hate winter colds....

That's it for now, just a little bitching and complaining.....sorry

Check Up

Hey there, been awhile sorry. I got sick and have not been able to kick it. I started working out again and was doing well and then I got this chest cold that would not go away. I missed a day or two of work and pretty much went from bed to work to bed for several days.

Some updates on the Life of Bryan:

- my car is dying a slow death. I brought it in for a tune up (115k) and turns out I need $2000 worth of work and NONE of it on the old engine. I'm looking at getting a 300...we shall see. The car is paid off and I have not had a payment in years but I do not want to put thousands in a car that could go at any minute.

- Scouts is picking up. I have a lot of work that needs to get done and I am doing it and having fun at the same time. Well worth the time and effort.

- Last and certainly not least, we celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary. It has been a great ride and I cannot see the end! 2008 has been a great year for the wife and I. We are happy and healthy and having a lot of fun. It's like a reset button was hit. We spent one night just talking about life in college, a nice back in the day session.

You scored as William T. Sherman

One of the Union's greatest heroes, your capture of Atlanta helped guarantee Lincoln's re-election and the winning of the war. South of the Mason-Dixon, they think you're a monster, but you're really only a *little* crazy...

Disappear...

I have been very busy lately so no time to post. I started working out in the mornings again. It was great to get back to the gym and see some people I have not seen in a while. It was 5 months between workouts and I was sore the next day (serves me right).

I also have been very active in Scouts lately. EVERY Saturday in January has a Scouting activity for me. Last night it was the Winter Camporee. I went but instead of camping overnight I came home to let out the dog...

The wife is in Las Vegas with my sister and sister-in-laws. She is having a blast (saw Pete Rose) and will be back tonight, I can not wait!!!!

The boy got his report card. Not great but not bad, there is room for improvement and he will. The wife and I have noticed lately that he is different. Not different strange, as in we think he is doing drugs or something but different as in who took the garbage in without us asking, who is this kid sitting on the couch READING a book, who is this kid who picked up the house while we were at work strange... I think he wants money ;-)

Happy New Year!!!

Today feels like the first day of the new year. Last week was spent saying goodbye to family, working overtime and beginning of year meetings with Scouts that I did not have a moment to breathe.

For some reason today feels like the dawning of 2008. So I shall make it thus.

I look forward to another year of blogging. I have an appointment with the gym tomorrow morning and have all my stuff ready day. The boy and I had a blast last night playing some games and I think we will be continuing that trend this evening. The wife and I have been getting along so well this past week has been like our first year of marriage.

Spending is in check, as well as eating. And no one has argued in over 2 weeks, about ANYTHING!!!!

At any moment I feel that bluebirds will fly in the window and help me get ready for the day...

I am sure this feeling will be gone soon, but I just wanted to share right now.
